Amid the ongoing tussle between Indian Cricket Board and Pakistan Cricket Board, no decision has been made on the future of Asia Cup 2023. As the cricketing relations between India and Pakistan continue to be shut as a result of political issues between the two countries the matter is getting intensified. Meanwhile, a former captain of the Pakistan cricket team has expressed an extremely harsh point of view on the matter.

Notably, citing security issues India has refused to tour Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023. The decision of the Indian Cricket Board has dented the PCB's hopes to host a multinational tournament after a long time in the country. Meanwhile, speaking on the same former Pakistan skipper Javed Miadand made a cryptic remark on the issue.
While speaking with Nadir Ali on his Podcast Miadand was asked about his views on India's security concerns.

In response, he said, "Forget security. "We believe that agar maut aani hai toh aani hai. Zindagi aur maut toh allah ke haath mein hai" (If you're destined to die, you will die. Life and death are in the hands of the almighty). If they call us today, we will go. But they should return too. The thing is the last time we went, they haven't come here since. It's their turn now."

Pakistan to Organize Asia Cup in the Middle East

Pakistan who is desperate to host Asia Cup on their soil is likely to shift it out of the country with some special arrangements. According to recent developments, the tournament is likely to remain in Pakistan, where it was originally scheduled to take place. But India will play its matches at a neutral venue in UAE, Qatar, Oman, or Sri Lanka.

Notably, Asia Cup is scheduled to be organized in August-September 2023. This year it will be organized in a 50-over format to prepare for the upcoming World Cup. It's worth noting that after India's refusal to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, PCB has threatened to boycott the World Cup which is set to be organized in India later this year.
