In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals opted to bat first after winning the toss and their skipper Sanju Samson also said there is a debut in the league and for his team in the form of Joe Root. Jos Buttler, who had been kept quiet in the last few games, regained his mojo and first hit a 32-ball fifty to put Rajasthan Royals in a commanding position over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL 2023 match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, along with Butler, gave them an exciting start. Before Yashasvi was dismissed for 35 on the final ball of the fifth over, the pair had scored 54 runs together. Sanju Samson subsequently entered the action and formed a partnership with Buttler that lasted for a long time and combined for 148 runs. It was vital that Sanju entered the game to relieve Jos of the strain, and the captain, as usual, took on the daring shots that allowed Buttler some room to manoeuvre. Jos discovered his touch during this procedure and smashed every delivery that came his way at the end of his innings.

The consequence was a massive 148-run stand that had to be broken by Bhuvi's astute bowling. A hundred that was due was declined by the esteemed Indian bowler. Sanju made sure RR ended strongly, even though SRH were wonderfully finished using Natarajan and Bhuvi. The surface itself was favourable for batting, but the batters needed to get used to the low bounce. Sanju made the observation that there hasn't been any dew, which means he depended on his bowlers to hold up.

How did the Sunrisers Hyderabad chase pan out today?

Anmolpreet, the impact sub for SRH, delivered a few powerful hits during the powerplay. He was defeated by Yuzi's spin, but that wicket served as Abhishek Sharma's as well as Rahul Tripathi's platform to take the chase forward.

Both of SRH's Indian superstars performed well today, with Tripathi scoring just shy of 50 and Sharma completing a 50. The target, however, kept getting harder to achieve because they were unable to score at a rapid rate. However, SRH managed to find two crucial cameos in Klaasen, who took off against the spinners by hitting a 12-ball 26, and then Glenn Phillips, who gave a death game new life.

But when both lost their wickets, everyone thought it was Rajasthan’s game, but Abdul Samad kept going, and even when his side needed 5 runs off the last ball, he had the luck he needed. He got out, but the final delivery by Sandeep Sharma turned out to be a no-ball, which meant he had a free-hit on the final ball and he needed four runs to win his side the game. He scored a massive straight six to win the game and the fans as well as the players went wild as their franchise won the game by the barest of margins.
