The much-anticipated clash will witness the undefeated India facing off against Australia, with the victorious team earning the coveted silverware in the cricketing domain.

The star India player Rohit Sharma's leadership makes the Indian cricket team a strong contender for the title. The two-time World Champions have maintained an unblemished record in the tournament, winning all nine of their league matches and the semifinal. Conversely, the Australian team is also riding high on an eight-match winning streak.  1. Rohit Sharma


The star India skipper Rohit Sharma has amassed 550 runs in the ongoing tournament and becomes the second Indian batter to cross the 500-run threshold in two separate editions of the ODI World Cup. Notably, he holds the unique distinction of being the first batsman in history to accomplish this feat with a strike rate surpassing 120. In addition to this, the Rohit has also scored one hundred and three half centuries.

2.     David Warner


It would be no wrong to say that the Australian duo of David Warner and Travis Head have certainly given new lives to the Australian campaign. Both the openers have been in sheer form in the format. Especially Warner who is playing his last ODI World Cup will be looking to end his career on a high with the title. The swashbuckling southpaw batter has also scored 528 runs in the tournament so far on the back of two brilliant centuries and two half-centuries to his name. Warner averages 52.80 in the tournament so far.

3.     Virat Kohli


The ton machine Virat Kohli will certainly be one of the most awaited players to look out for in this epic clash. The talismanic India batter has certainly been on song in this tournament with bat. Virat has scored the most, 711 runs in the competition so far with an average of 101.57. The legendary India batter has also scored three centuries along with five centuries to his name. He will also be one of the prominent contenders for the Player of the Series award.

4.     Mohammed Shami


If there has been one player who has literally forced the viewers to stay glued to the television set while he is performing is Mohammed Shami. Initially, Shami was not in the scheme of things in the Indian playing XI. It was due to this he missed India’s starting four matches. But since he got an opportunity in the fifth match against New Zealand, the star pacer has not looked back. Shami has so far picked up 23 wickets in the six matches that he has played for India in this World Cup 2023. Moreover, he has also taken three fifers and one four-wicket haul so far in the tournament.

5.     Adam Zampa


Despite battling various physical issues, Adam Zampa emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the World Cup group stage. Achieving three consecutive four-wicket hauls against Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the Netherlands, he highlighted his 3-21 performance against England as his most satisfying ODI. With one more wicket in the semi-final, he can match Muttiah Muralidaran's spinner record. So far in the tournament, Zampa has picked up 22 wickets at a strike rate of 23.45 including three four-wicket hauls.
