Team India thrashed the Men in Green by 7 wickets in the third game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on October 14 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Notably, Mohammad Rizwan was looking spectacular, but he lost his wicket after 49 runs and had a great partnership with Pakistan's skipper, Babar Azam, during the play.
However, the right-handed batter was subjected to great trolling by fans in the cricket stadium in Ahmedabad when he was going back to the pavillion after his dismissal. Notably, the Indian fans were seen chanting 'Jai Shree Ram' in front of him, but the star cricketer ignored them and went to the dressing room.
Following the same incident, a plethora of Pakistani fans and media houses have criticised the Indian fans for trolling Mohammad Rizwan after his dismissal. Meanwhile, the Pakistan team's director, Mickey Arthur, also lashed out with some bizarre comments following their loss against Team India. The 55-year-old cricketer feels the Indian fans and the crowd were partial during the game and did not play their song 'Dil Dil Pakistani' as well in the stadium.

We wanted to play normal cricket (me and Mohammad Rizwan): Babar Azam
Meanwhile, Babar Azam and Co. could only manage to get 191 runs before getting all out. Team India chased down the target in just 30 overs and claims the first spot in the points table. However, Pakistani skipper Babar Azam reveals that he and Mohammad Rizwan planned hard to take the innings deep, but it could not happen over strong Indian bowlers.
"We started well. Good partnership between me and Imam. We wanted to play normal cricket (me and Rizwan). Suddenly we had a collapse and didn't finish well. The way we started, wanted to target 280-290. With the new ball we are not upto the mark. The way Rohit is playing - he played an outstanding innings," Babar Azam said during the post match presentation.
