English star cricketer Sam Curran has found himself at the centre of an unusual controversy during the England vs. Afghanistan clash of the ODI World Cup 2023 at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi on October 15. Notably, the great all-rounder's irritation burst as he faced an unpleasant over from Afghanistan's wicketkeeper batsman, Rahmatullah Gurbaz, in a match.

The left-arm pacer was seen pushing the ground's cameraman near the boundary line against Afghanistan on October 15 in Delhi. In addition, the 25-year-old cricketer shoved the cameraman away, and his act clearly means that he wanted his personal space near the boundary line owing to high tensions during the game.

However, the young cricketer's antics were overlooked in the live broadcast or by the cricket commentators during the game, although smart viewers quickly spotted this and voiced their dissatisfaction on social media, especially on Twitter. Notably, Curran's action has drawn attention, which will undoubtedly spark discussions both within and outside the cricketing community.

Moreover, the PBKS batter has been receiving strong backlash on social media for disrespecting the cameraman during the game.Speaking about the ongoing game, it was England skipper Jos Buttler who won the toss and invited the Afghanistan side to bat first. Notably, after being sent to bat first, top-order batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz gave them a powerful start as the opening batter hammered 80 runs from just 57 balls, hitting eight boundaries and four sixes with a solid strike rate of 141, which caused great trouble for the English set-up.

Following him, star opener Ibrahim Zardan also piled up 28 runs and stuck over 100 runs in partnership with Gurbaz. In addition, Omarzai, Rashid Khan, and  Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman also displayed their solid form, which helped them post a total of 284 runs before getting all out. Meanwhile, England suffered a historic loss to New Zealand in the opening game, whereas they won their second game.
