The Netherlands won the toss and opted to bat in this highly anticipated showdown, resulting in a thrilling contest that had cricket fans on the edge of their seats. But eventually, Sri Lanka held their nerves and won the match by five wickets.

The Netherlands' innings commenced with Vikramjit Singh and Max O'Dowd as the opening pair. Vikramjit managed to score 4 runs from 13 balls, while O'Dowd contributed 16 runs to the team's total. Colin Ackermann played a pivotal role, adding 29 runs, and Bas de Leede chipped in with 6 runs. Teja Nidamanuru and Scott Edwards contributed 9 and 16 runs, respectively.

Aryan was the standout bowler for the Netherlands, taking 3 wickets for 44 runs. Van Beek and Van Meekeren also made significant contributions with the ball, while De Leede and Roelof van der Merwe contained the Sri Lankan batting lineup.
