Team India are currently cruising in the ODI World Cup 2023. They are currently the only unbeaten side in the tournament as they have won seven out of seven matches so far in the mega event. Rohit Sharma's side has qualified for the semi-final and became the first team to do so, in the ongoing tournament. During the game against Sri Lanka when India was bowling at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, the former India skipper Virat Kohli was in a happy mood as the pacers were bowling exceptionally well. 

Kohli was caught dancing as the fans were singing a song named 'My Name is Lakhan' from a Bollywood movie, 'Ram Lakhan.' The batter has often been seen dancing and vibing with the songs during the matches. India batting first posted a mammoth total of 357/8 in their 50 overs, with the batter scoring 88 runs and missing a well-deserved century. 

The Men in Blue were invited to bat first in Wankhede by Sri Lanka. They lost their skipper Rohit Sharma early on in the innings but, Shubman Gill and Kohli stitched a partnership of 189 runs. Gill scored a brilliant 92 runs and was dismissed by Dilshan Madushanka. A quick-fire 82 runs off 55 deliveries from Shreyas Iyer made sure India went past 350 runs.

Kohli achieves new milestones

The former skipper has been in great form in the marquee tournament. He is the highest run scorer of Team India in the tournament. On Wednesday, achieved a new record as he became the first batter with most 1000 runs in a calendar year he has made it 8 times in his career so far beating the great Sachin Tendulkar's record who had 7 times. The batter is also just one century away from tying Tendulkar's 49 ODI century. 

India will next face South Africa on November 5th at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. On the very day, Kohli will also celebrate his 35th birthday, and the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has planned something very special they are going to distribute 70,000 masks to the fans ahead of the game.
