The SA 20 second season has been breathtaking with thrilling games, high-scoring matches and some mind-boggling fielding displays as well. In the Qualifier 2 match between Durban's Super Giants (DSG) and Joburg Super Kings (JSK), the match saw another magnificent fielding from Afghanistan's pace bowler Naveen-ul Haq. The pacer took a brilliant catch in the mid-on position diving towards his right, to dismiss Leus du Plooy, sending shockwaves through the cricketing world.

The incident happened in the third over of the second innings, as Leus du Plooy was starting to fire. After scoring 10 runs from seven deliveries, he attempted a uppish drive over mid-on. However, the 24-year-old had different plans. With his sharp reflexes, the Afghan cricketer dived into the air, timing his leap to catch the ball with two hands.

Previously in the knockout stages, Qualifier 1 and in the Eliminator the fans saw another brilliant catch from Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SUNE) captain Aiden Markram who was flying in the air for a minute to take a one-handed catch and in the eliminator, JSK's veteran Imran Tahir took a catch running back and diving and showing unreal athleticism at the age of 44, his incredible effort gave a reminder that age is just a number in the world of cricket.

DSG qualifies for the final

DSG qualified for the final after beating Faf du Plessis's side by 69 runs. Keshav Maharaj's side batting first posted a total of 211/6. With Heinrich Klassen, Wiaan Mulder and Bhanuka Rajapaksa giving valuable contributions to the side. The first of the three was the highest scorer for the side scoring 74 off 30 balls, Mulder scored a fifty in just 23 balls and the Sri Lanka batter smashed 35 off 23 deliveries. Klaasen and Mulder stitched a partnership of 101 runs in just 38 balls for the fifth wicket to take Super Giants past the 200-run mark.

In reply, the Men in Yellow did not get the start they wanted as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Moeen Ali scored 30 off 26 balls and was the highest-run-getter for Super Kings, but it was not enough as they were bowled out on 142 with Junior Dala picking up 4 wickets. The Super Giants will face the defending champions in the final of the league.
