South Africa vs India 2nd Test in Cape Town saw 23 wickets fall on the first day of the test match. The hosts crumbled in front of the bowling spell of Mohammed Siraj, who once again showed the cricket fraternity, that when he is in full rhythm then he is the best bowler that any team can have across formats. Siraj picked up 6 wickets in his spell of 9 overs giving out 15 runs and due to his sensational bowling spell the Proteas were bowled out for 55 runs.
In reply, India started decently with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill scoring in the 30s and Virat Kohli once again stepped up scoring an important 46 runs. The Men in Blue were 153 for 4 before losing six wickets without the addition of a single run in a space of 11 deliveries to end with a 98-run lead.
The Men in Blue's lower order failed to open the scoring as six batters were back in the pavilion scoring ducks. After the collapse happened, former India head coach Ravi Shastri after India's batting collapse is going viral on social media.
If someone went around the corner for a dump and has come back: Ravi Shastri
Shastri from the commentary box, "If someone went around the corner for a dump and has come back, India has been bowled out for 153." Pommie Mbangwa then said, "Or a drink, or whatever they have gone for. If they turned away from the game for a little bit." The visitors lost the 1st Test by an innings and 32 runs and Rohit's side has been looking for a fightback in the final Test and the game might not be going into Day 3 as the Rainbow nation has lost their 3 wickets and they still trail 36 runs.
As per the pitch report, it was a batting paradise but seeing two all-outs, it looks like the pitch has behaved a bit differently and would certainly come under the match referee Chris Broad's notice, the red Kookaburra ball took off like a jumbo jet from the length making it impossible for batters to survive.
