Delhi Capitals (DC) won the seventh game of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 as they went on to defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on February 29 at M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore. Notably, RCB displayed a great show in WPL 2024 as they went on to win the first two games, but they suffered a defeat in the third crucial encounter, whereas Delhi Capitals didn't have a great start, but they bounced back in the tournament and have two wins out of the three games they have played so far.

Speaking about the ongoing game, it was RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana who won the toss and invited the Delhi Capitals to bat first in the game. Notably, after being sent to bat first, they had a great start as star opening batter Shafali Varma went on to hammer 50 runs from 31 balls featuring three fours and four sixes with a solid strike rate of 162 and stitched the great stand with Alice Capsey, who also made 46 runs from 33 balls featuring four fours and two sixes.

However, star middle-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues departed on the duck, but Marizanne Kapp hammered 32 runs from 16 balls, while Jonassen made 36 runs from 16 balls, featuring four boundaries and two sixes, which helped them post the challenging total against the RCB, who were at the top of the points table.
