On Saturday, May 20, the Delhi Capitals (DC) will play the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Delhi, wearing their special rainbow-themed uniform. Prior to being auctioned off to raise money for the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) in Vijayanagar, Karnataka, the players wore the jersey to begin the second half of their season against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

In IPL 2020, the team started this custom versus the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and in IPL 2021, they wore the shirt against the Mumbai Indians (MI). They have a great history whenever the team has won this jersey in the history of the Indian Premier League as they have won all the games and considering a lot of rides for CSK in their game against DC, they would want to be the first team to beat DC in this jersey

In an effort to close the season in style, the squad announced on social media that they were wearing the special jersey. Along with the following caption, “Ending our #IPL2023 campaign on a 🌈 note! Our boys will be donning these special threads in our last home match of the season at #QilaKotla!”

With only five victories in 13 games, the Delhi Capitals have had an awful campaign in this season's Indian Premier League. They were the first team to be taken out of the playoff picture. Despite defeating the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their previous match, they are only now in second last place in the points standings.

The squad's batting has been its biggest letdown this season, with just captain David Warner ranking in the top 30 on the Orange Cap list, despite the fact that there have been numerous other areas of worry for the team. The past two campaigns have been huge letdowns for DC while they continue their pursuit of the elusive trophy after three seasons in a row of making the playoffs.
