The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 edition is just a month away. The rich-cash league auction has already taken place last year in Dubai. All the 10 teams have made the additions to their squad as per the requirements. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has been one of the unluckiest sides in the tournament, the franchise has not won a single trophy ever since the inception of the league back in 2008. They qualified for three finals and have failed every single time.

However, the Bengaluru fans come to the stadium and support their favourite team throughout the tournament. RCB has been a den for the batters the team has always focused on the batting department. But in recent few years, their bowling has improved as well. English pacer Reece Topley who was ruled out last season mid-way of the tournament after dislocating his shoulder will be missing the 2024 season as the bowler is battling against niggle.

Topley's No Objection Certificate (NOC) has been turned down by the England Cricket Board (ECB) as the national side wants to take precautionary measures for the speedster. The left-arm seamer will also be missing the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Though he was retained by RCB it has been a big blow for the side.

Jordan replaces Topley

As per the reports by Rev Sportz, the 29-year-old cricketer has been replaced by his national side teammate Chris Jordan. The latter has been in great form in franchise league cricket around the world. But the latter's form in the IPL has been a concern as he has not performed well as per requirement in the rich-cash league of the world. RCB made strategic purchases in the auction for a better balance in the team.

With likes of Lockie Ferguson, Alzarri Joesph, Yash Dayal and English all-rounder Tom Curran have been added to the squad's bowling attack. The Bangalore-based franchise will try to win the league in the upcoming season and not again disappoint their fan base.
