India beat the Netherlands in the last game of the group stages of the ODI World Cup 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Rohit Sharma's side is the only unbeaten side in the tournament and has won all their 9 matches in the competition. Shreyas Iyer who played a sensational knock of 128 runs off 94 balls, got angry while fielding in the crowd of Chinnaswamy.
The batter was involved in a heated exchange with the crowd as he missed an opportunity for a catch. The video of the incident, in which Iyer can be heard exchanging a few words with the crowd, has gone viral on social media. The cricketer was unhappy with fan comments and behaviour. Iyer has been in great form as the batter has answered all the critics with the innings he has played in the tournament so far.
Iyer has scored 421 runs in 9 innings he has played with an average of 70.16, hitting 3 fifties and one century. He has been the best No.4 batter for team India in the World Cup. It is also the highest run by an Indian batter batting at No.4 in World Cup history.

Iyer's girlfriend revealed
There have been speculations about Iyer's girlfriend as an unknown girl has been spotted in every game of the World Cup. The report says that the name of the girl is Trisha Kulkarni though the batter is yet to confirm the rumours. The batter has come back from a back injury and has given stability to the Men in Blue in the middle order and solved their long-term No.4 position.
He was awarded the man of the match and he said, "I got a deja vu, this happened with Australia too, but I threw my wicket away (not today though), but I wanted to come not out this time. I took pills for the cramps. I feel the recent scores helped me in this inning. The wicket was tacky and two-paced, I just wanted to capitalize on the start and I was able to do that. I have worked a lot on that (straight) shot, I was just trying to hit it straight. It's about keeping the head straight and about the followthrough of the bat once I am trying to play the slog shot."
