'Bohot khush hua'- Fans react as Ravi Bishnoi becomes No.1 T20I bowler surpassing legendary spinner

Ravi Bishnoi has been one of the young players who has been growing in recent times. Bishnoi now has become the No.1 T20I bowler in the Men's Ranking. He surpassed Rashid Khan to achieve the milestone. The Indian team is already the best in all three formats, with Shubman Gill, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Suryakumar Yadav at the top of the rankings for ODI batters, Test bowlers, and T20I batters. He was named player of the series for his match-winning performances against Australia.

Ravi Bishnoi only made his international debut at the start of 2022, but his consistent performances for Team India have propelled the 23-year-old to the top of the latest rankings. Since making his debut against the West Indies in February 2022, he has taken 34 wickets in 21 T20I matches. With the T20 World Cup 2024 around the corner, he would be a good addition to the squad. 

Team India's next assignment as they would travel to South Africa for an all-format tour. The first T20I is on December 12, the Men in Blue have announced a young side with senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been given rest for the white-ball series.

Rashid Khan is currently in second place, Adil Rashid and Wanindu Hasaranga are in third with equal points, and Maheesh Theekshana (fifth) all drop one spot within the top 10, while fellow India spinner Axar Patel jumps 16 places to 11th. In the T20I series against Australia, picking up 9 wickets in just 5 matches. 

Hardik Pandya retained the third spot in the all-rounders' list, despite missing the series against Australia due to injury. Ruturaj Gaikwad has gained his 7th spot in the Batting Rankings. Gaikwad scored 223 runs in 5 matches in the recently-concluded T20I series.
